Thomas Hope style mahogany & gilded open bookcase - 42in Portraits Finely cast brass constructionAn exclusively designed mahogany open bookcase after an early 19th century Thomas Hope pedestal desk. The decorative flame mahogany veneered top has a gilded, finely carved edge above two drawers with brass knobs. The sides, back panel, two adjustable shelves and plinth are all veneered in flame mahogany which combines with elegant ebonised lines on both of the rounded front corners. The base plinth is gilded on the top edge. Thomas Hope was an
